Kentucky vs. Tennessee

From the Northeast. Would like to go South, as girlfriend is from the South. I got in-state tuition at Kentucky, but it looks like it'll be sticker at Tennessee (although possibility of a grad assistantship). Which would give me better overall job prospects in the South (Nashville, Atlanta, etc.), and if it is UT, is it worth the extra $13K a year over UK? I'd appreciate the advice.

If you are from the Northeast, how did you get in-state tuition at Kentucky? Have you lived in the south before? Very few things are worth an additional 13,000 dollars a year FYI.

Might be tough to get to Atlanta from either Kentucky or Tennessee. You need to refine your target markets a bit more beyond "The South". At the most basic & realistic level, decide whether you prefer to practice in Kentucky or in Tennessee.

If Nashville is target market, UTK no-brainer.

If Atlanta is target market, reconsider both. Neither will get you there.
