Cali legal market still hasn't recovered. Thus, with Stanford, Boalt, USC, UCLA, Davis (I'm sure I'm forgetting some) all win out over Santa Clara grads. Some schools under-perform their rank, just like some schools over-perform their rank. George Mason comes to mind as the former.

Wow, SCU and USF really surprise me on there, especially USF! Both schools in the top 100.. and about as selective as some schools in the top50.. Depressing for us from cali

Not surprised in the least. The CA job market, especially NorCal, is SPS.
This data has been obvious since LST published the 2009 data. SCU/USF (as well as UCD/UCH) suffered horribly in comparison to other schools similar in rank.

Based on anecdotes from friends who went to these schools...I'm not surprised in the least.

What does SPS mean? Urbandictionary is useless (unless you mean the NorCal job market is a saucy puppet show).

I agree that this data is old news, but it is still interesting to look at it from both a ranking perspective and with LST's new categories for data. Wow at the California and Florida legal markets.
I had a full from Santa Clara and I wanted to consider it because of its location. I called and spoke with their career services dean who basically was completely ignorant (or, completely dishonest) regarding how horrible SCU's grads were doing. I remember feeling disgusted with her when I got off the phone. Sorry you are ruining peoples lives with your bullshit and you are too biased to see it.

I know, and its heart breaking. Don't mean to offend. I was about to change it, but someone suggested it carry on as a memorial.
