At what price does GW make sense?

Got in to GW last week off the waitlist, and have started the negotiation process using a full ride to Alabama (where I put my deposit down). I am just trying to figure out where my least amount of money I should take from them before I deposit.

My general situation is as follows:

-168/2.95
-From Mass, went to school in South Carolina, now live in Baltimore.
-1st choice for a city to work in would be Atlanta, but the DC/Maryland/Virginia area would be a close second. Obviously Alabama excludes the DMV, and GW excludes Atlanta.
-Want to do tax law or generally go into private practice.
-Full ride to Alabama with a 3.0 stip (their median is 3.2 and at least 73% of a given class gets a 3.0)
-3 years of WE, half at an investment management firm on the phones, half at a large (formerly) investment bank doing collateral monitoring for securities based loans.

At what price do you think GW starts to become worth attending, both over Alabama and in general?

Generally around 120k in debt at graduation (and that's including interest).

Hey BMore - Well, you know my situation, and it's quite similar to yours. I decided to deposit at GW with $75k over near full-ride at Cardozo. I'd say if you can get more than half off the tuition at GW, it'd probably be worth it. Why do you want to work in Alabama anyway, out of curiosity, if you're not from there?

I agree with this. I was going to say 80-100k, but with interest 120k makes sense.

So essentially at anything short of a full ride, or very close to it, GW is a pretty poor choice?

At sticker its like placing a 230K bet that the roulette wheel will hit black twice in a row. And if you win you get to work 70 hours a week and after 7 years you end where you started. And if you lose, you'll be poorer than a homeless man until you get bankrupted by an IBR Tax bill.

I heard, from an xo poster so huge grain of salt, that it's a regulatory thing, not a legislation thing. The IRS will have to make a determination whether it counts as taxable income. And that it's likely not going to be. But who knows.

Obviously GW is insane at sticker, but I am wondering at what price people think it starts to become a reasonable decision.
