Top Law Schools

I am still on several wait lists at the moment, but I know these two have let me in for sure. Both would be stipulation-free full-ride scholarships. I would rather work in Dallas than Arizona, but I think ASU might give me a better chance of transferring to UCLA (wouldn't mind working in CA) or UT if I perform well the first semester.

Thoughts?

Check the transfer threads, but why do you think ASU would give you a better chance of UCLA or UT? I think you'd still need to do extremely well in either to be able to transfer. And it seems like SMU would give you a better shot with UT because of Texas ties.

The difference in ranking or any perceived "prestige" between SMU and ASU is non-existent.

If you want to work in Dallas, go to SMU.

Don't ever go to a school you wouldn't be happy graduating from. Going to a school with the intent to transfer is a terrible terrible idea.

It's through the GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program. They offer veterans $99,999 per year. Obviously we don't get to keep the extra or anything, but it's effectively a stip-free full ride. Sorry if I was misleading.

If you want to work in Dallas, go to SMU. SMU also gives you a better chance at transferring to UT, but don't go anywhere you wouldn't be happy graduating from.

And also don't pay much to ASU's ridiculous jump in the rankings as a means to have a better shot at transferring. I think they jumped from 40 to 26 or something ridiculous like that, but their situation seems very volatile. I'm fairly positive they'll bump down over the next few years it seemed that they gamed the rankings pretty hard.
