Top Law Schools

Just in off the wait list at Davis. Offered need-based aid, waiting to hear back on merit.

Davis -- 14k/yr aid-- loved the school, not the town so much
Hastings -- 22.5k/yr aid --didn't like the school when I visited
San Diego -- 39k/yr aid -- great campus, San Diego would be awesome, definitely lower in the rankings, though not sure how much that matters since I don't have any T20 options.

I'm still on wait lists for UVA & UCLA, and no decision yet from USC. My main concern with these UCs is the steep tuition hikes, while USD seems to have lots of money to spare.

All I really need to do for now is decide between Davis and Hastings -- I have until June for another deposit at USD. Davis seems like a better choice to me, unless anyone has other info.

Also interested in opinions on Davis vs. USD, given the $$$.

The difference in aid between Davis and Hastings, assuming no further changes, is not that great. Cross the one you didn't like off your list. Either way, you'll be taking on pretty huge amounts of debt.

With the cost of living adjustment, I think Davis and Hastings are the same price. Maybe Hastings even more costly.

I would just compare the law school transparency charts and find out which school has better employment.
