withdrawing from ls...

so, if you withdraw in an email to the dean of admissions who you've had a friendly relationship with, and he asks where you decided to go instead, do you answer?

I think it is odd that some schools brag about how they cross admit (lose lots of students) to other schools

And this is why I when I withdrew, I let them know what school I was picking. To avoid the follow-up awkward.

I had a similar situation and I answered, that was met with a very kind response e-mail telling me everything that was right with the choice I had made.

I think a lot of schools ask this question, so I don't find it that weird.
