I might also add that this hypothetical person would also be unable to get a job in FL for a year or two to get residency in FL. In which case yes, Stetson would be a brilliant choice. Too it's extremely unlikely that someone will have ALL of these characteristics.
It's why these threads are often so funny. They're usually predictable. People come in to white knight schools that are only worth going to in the most unique of circumstances, but then fail to realize those aren't the people the negativity is focused on.
I personally wouldn't go to Stetson for free, especially with UF/FSU on the table.

What do you want me to say? That Stetson might be a good idea for someone who has insanely strong I4 corridor ties (extended family lives there or something) but somehow has not gotten residency, but ALSO has scores good enough to bring the cost to about $50k, and ALSO has some situation (say wife's job in Tampa) that would make him unable to work in other parts of the state?
I'd still do my best to obtain residency and go to UF, but given my general background knowledge of people who go to Stetson and law school applicants in general, my educated guess is that this above situation applies to basically no one. This is sublime idiocy.
Stetson is a brilliant choice in this circumstance!

well yea except the wife thing

Ok #1 Stetson would not be a White Knight school it is hated by people on these boards it would be a Dark Knight! haha
#2 so you are saying I should have gone to FSU at sticker out of state over stetson for almost free (COL) when all my connected fam lives in Tampa/Orlando?

Depends on how risk averse you are. If Stetson was your cheapest option AND you're from there AND you have a "well connected family" (I'm assuming you basically have a job lined up), then go there. You could go to fucking Nova Southeastern and be ok with those circumstances.

Assuming in state at FSU yeah I'd go to FSU.
Also I don't think you know what white knight means.

Stetson by no means is going to swoop in and save the day I am guessing that would be yale... it might give you a dagger or something to help you but definitely not going to save you....
