Duke or Georgetown

Hey all. I know this thread has been made in the past, but I was just wondering if someone could make a case for going to GULC over Duke. They've both offered me some money (Duke 14/yr, GULC 12.5/yr). Upon graduation I would probably rather be in New York, biglaw is a possibility but not a requirement. Obviously DC is a better city from a sheer enjoyment perspective, but beyond that, is there any way that I should choose Georgetown over Duke?

Depends upon your priorities.

2 great options. I think you should choose where you'll be the most happy, which sounds like GULC. I've asked around TLS a little about GULC; but, I think comfort/happiness are not properly weighted in the decision-making process on this website.

The only real argument for G-Town is that you really want to be in DC.
Duke is awesome. Enjoy living in the super-sweet apartment complexes they have down in Durham.

If you want a bigger class size or really want to live in a city during your law school years, that'd be a few reasons. How important are those things to you?

Duke, easily. That's just my take. DC is GT's only advantage.
