Would definitely go Chicago here, especially considering the familial support/loan.

For those keeping score at home, I decided Chicago was the best choice for deposit and I'm really excited about it this fall.
Only schools I haven't withdrawn from are Columbia and Harvard, but I'm fully committed to Chicago unless the offers change (Columbia needs some $, the Harvard offer needs to exist) in the next ~month.

Uh, you can leave your decision-less Harvard app open, but pretty sure you have to withdraw from anywhere you've been accepted.StrictlyBusiness wrote:For those keeping score at home, I decided Chicago was the best choice for deposit and I'm really excited about it this fall.

This was covered pretty extensively on the Chicago thread and I clarified it in person with the U Chicago staff: not true. They want you to be committed to Chicago (I am) and withdraw from all offers that you don't expect to change (I have). You can, however, wait for an app that you expect to change (Columbia hasn't given me any sort of $ offer yet) without withdrawing it.
