It doesn't really matter where I practice, I guess I would prefer OK but if I could get a better job in LA by going to Tulane I would do that. Private firm job is what I'm looking for.kalvano wrote:What do you want to do? Where do you want to practice?
haha yea, there both TU's too.Oklahoma2014 wrote:ou bro
Do you think if I was able to get OU to give me more money OU would be a better choice. I'll have to ask OU what there curve is, in the letter Tulane sent it said there's was between a 3.2-3.3, im guessing OU is probably lower.Aberzombie1892 wrote:I think that attending Tulane would help make you more competitive for employment in general in the OK, LA, and TX region. Is that help worth $24,000? I'm not sure.
If you truly are on the fence, I would look up OU's curve. It is lower than Tulane's, I would probably go to Tulane (expanded competitiveness + higher probability of higher GPA).
Just noticed the Tulane logo. Are you currently a student, and if so what are the job prospects like? Just looked up the NLJ go to schools, Tulane didn't make the top 50, meaning less than 6.5% got big law last year.Aberzombie1892 wrote:I think that attending Tulane would help make you more competitive for employment in general in the OK, LA, and TX region. Are you even remotely serious?Aberzombie1892 wrote: If you truly are on the fence, I would look up OU's curve. It is lower than Tulane's, I would probably go to Tulane (expanded competitiveness + higher probability of higher GPA).
Very. Many, if not most, of the employers I've encountered have a 3.0 floor. I agree that for NLJ firms, rank of student/school matter the most. However, pretty much all of the smaller employers I have encountered simply have instituted a 3.0 gpa floor for interviews. You may not have encountered this if you go to a T14, as most employers will grant those students an interview as long as their gpa isn't under 3.0.Lord Randolph McDuff wrote:Are you even remotely serious?Aberzombie1892 wrote: If you truly are on the fence, I would look up OU's curve.
