Not sure about Camden but Newark is not going to put you in the NY market. It will put you in the "NJ market" even then if you're looking for biglaw/midlaw you need to be the top of your class. There are plenty of schools in NYC that have priority over Rutgers. I would assume its the same for Philly + Philly seems to be a place that you need to have STRONG ties.stevepark309 wrote:I dont really mind either school. Someone above mentioned that the entering RU-Camden Class of 2015 should receive the Rutgers name on their diploma. Although this has not been guaranteed, this is the absolute least of the problems at hand, i.e. the fact that the school could lose its ABA accreditation once Rowan takes over which could take 5 years to get back, thus possibly affecting whether or not graduates could sit for the BAR.
I would choose Newark at full-price over Camden with a free ride in a second. After the recent dramatic drop in ranking, RU-Camden is almost a Tier III institution. There are WAY too many unknowns at this point. I am not saying that it's a horrible idea to attend Camden, but if one had the choice to attend either Rutgers school, you would be out of your mind to choose Camden.
