$100,000+ Notre Dame vs. Georgetown

Hi, does anyone care to offer their opinion on choosing between ND with slightly over $100K in scholarship vs. Georgetown (with potentially no money). I have not heard back from GTown regarding scholarship, but I doubt I will receive much if anything.
My goal is NYC biglaw. I am horrified at the prospect of going to ND where the employment rate last year into the NLJ250 was somewhere around 13% whereas it is around 30% at Georgetown.

Another concern is the regional reputation of ND. I really don't want to work in Chicago/ the midwest... I really do want to be in NYC.
On the other hand, I am weary about NYC biglaw coming out of Georgetown as well, based on some things I have read on this site...
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I wouldn't go to ND with the expectation of working in NYC. ND, according to the most recent NLJ250 list of go-to schools, placed all of 26 people (out of about 190) into any NLJ positions. I would imagine that the majority of these people are in areas relatively close to ND such as Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit, etc. Thus, the number of people that secured SA's in NY could probably be counted in a single hand. I wouldn't make a bet when the odds are all of 2.5-3% of winning.
That being said, I think its ridiculous to pay the extra 100K for G-Town. I would urge you to be more flexible geographically because I would absolutely take ND with 100K over G-Town at sticker. This is obviously a matter of preference and perhaps your circumstances are different than mine.

Neither if your goal is NYC big law.
However, Notre Dame would probably be the better choice overall.

If nyc biglaw is your goal then GULC is your best bet. Even though 30% place into biglaw you have to take into account that a lot of the people there are PI oriented and do not want biglaw. ND won't get you anywhere near where you want to be.

Do you have any other options? Neither of these seems to suit you. I don't care if ND is free, I wouldn't go there if I were dead set against living in the Midwest....

With a 173/3.5 & targeting NYC, you should have done a much better job of thinking ahead. Cornell is the easy answer and Penn ED should have been explored.

This year has not been good for people who decided to take real majors + minors in UG. I'm guessing you were rejected/WL by NYU, Columbia, Penn, and Cornell?

Haha so true my "low" gpa has wreaked havoc on my applications. I have been WL by columbia, penn, michigan, virginia, and duke. I'm expecting a WL from NYU (under review since 1/22). And I have yet to receive a decision from Cornell.
I applied very late in the cycle. Ultimately I think I would choose NYU or Cornell given my career goals. I'm really hoping one of those two will come through.

What I'd do: Sit this cycle out or try the waitlists at the betters schools and apply in October of next year. Georgetown is a risk that isn't necessary given the numbers, and all evidence points to law school admissions continuing to soften up.
Applying late is an easy way to do worse than your numbers.

If you are so dead set on NYC, then neither. Wait out all these waitlists, and if nothing happens, just reapply early next year...but according to lsn, you should be fine with nyu.
