Top Law Schools

I am trying to use the other scholarships as leverage against Gtown and am awaiting what they say, but for now I'll assume its at sticker

129,000 at WashU
90,000 at Vandy
75,000 at GW

Money is important but ultimately I am willing to pay if it means better job/career in the long run. I am interested in private practice, dont necessarily know where yet but east coast city, most likely between DC and NY. Please give me your thoughts

I'm facing a similar decision. I'd definitely eliminate GW, which Prof Campos accurately identified as a "trap school." COL is outrageous and job prospects aren't as good as Vandy's, where you're getting more money. I've seen many GW students on these boards ripping the school and most Vandy students seem to be very happy with their choice. I'd stay away from Georgetown at sticker, you'd be taking on about 230k for a school that doesn't have job prospects that are much better than Vandy's.

I say Vandy or maybe WashU

I don't know why you would "definitely" eliminate GW. If your goal is to end up on the east coast I would think GW should be taken into consideration. I think it should be between Vandy and GW

also for what its worth id be a lot closer to my group of friends and family by staying in the dc area (I'm from md originally)

I think I agree with this. I'd see what Georgetown gives you.

Vand or WashU. Personally, I'd take Vandy... the portability to NYC/DC and better job prospects are worth the extra cost. Still, WashU is a great choice at that price.

Given that you want DC or NY I'd take Vandy with your options.
