Cardozo $120k vs Fordham at Sticker

Subject is the question. Which is a better choice Cardozo with a near full tuition scholarship $40k a year, guaranteed renewable for 3 years, as long as I stay in good academic standing (i.e. don't flunk out). Or Fordham at Sticker?
What I want to do: Manhattan DA's office/Prosecution
100% going into the public sector, not debt adverse but $120,000 is making me think twice about this.

I agree with this. It'd be hard to justify Fordham if you're passing up 120k at Cardozo.

No brainer here. Fordham isn't worth sticker, especially if you're not interested in biglaw. Take the money.

Should put out there since I'm not in NYC the total COA for Cardozo over 3 years will be ~$98k vs Fordham at ~$220k.
Again I'm not risk adverse and expect to work my full career in the Public Sector so the Public Service Loan Forgiveness should take care of my debt.
A better question would be which is a better school to get Manhattan DA's office? As I understand it the Manhattan DA's office has applicants from HYS,CCN, etc etc.
Do you think I can try and coax money out of Fordham with the $120k guaranteed from Cardozo? Or are the school's rankings to far apart that Fordham wouldn't even consider it?
Since you guys seem to be in consensus Fordham isn't worth it, at what point would Fordham be worth it? if they gave me $30k? $60k? Or only if they matched?
The fact that Cardozo is so young, and many people seem to think it is a TTT worries me (but than again TLS is full of snobs who think its HYS or bust). From what I have read a large and strong Alumni base is very important within the legal community, and at 35 years old Cardozo doesn't really have it.

What are your stats? I don't think either of these schools will get you what you seek. Take Fordham at sticker out of the equation. Is Cardozo worth it? Look at their job stats. Also look at the difficulty of getting hired in NYC as a DA. I'm into corporate so I can't advise you, but I know there have been threads here about getting jobs in NYC.

PR URM 164 3.55
So far WL at W&L and GW. In at Fordham and Cardozo, waiting on William and Mary, BC, Vanderbilt (along with some ridiculous reaches like Harvard where I only applied cause they sent me a letter giving me a fee waiver).
My cycle is very very shitty, I don't think being PR gave me any boost.

DANY is a tough get no matter what school you go to. Keep in mind that PI employers aren't nearly as much into prestige whoring as big law firms are, which means you should go to whatever non-ridiculous school is cheapest.

Also keep in mind that Fordham does not have an LRAP. I don't think this is a hard choice. Dozo FTW.

My bad. It does, just not for gov't jobs.

Would it be wrong to try and get my $40k a year at Cardozo upped to full tuition ($47k a year) by using my acceptance at Fordham as leverage?

Not at all. I have no idea if they'll agree to it, but you have nothing to lose.
