Top Law Schools

Luckily, financial concerns aren't that be of a deal for me in choosing law schools, although of course I would be happy with a scholly. If Fordham/Cardozo/Brooklyn don't work out at all, I'll have to decide btwn stj and shu. I live in midtown, so I can commute to both, although shu would actually be much easier to get to, since I am right by no transit.
I want to live and work in NYC though.
There seem to be nuanced pros and cons to think about when choosing between these two schools. Shu is ranked much higher, and is 6 for health law, which I want to get into. Stj seems to have more connections in NYC. OTOH, I would probably have a higher ranking at shu since commute wouldnt be so horrible. Thoughts, tlsers?

Commute has no correlation to grades and you can't make this decision based on where you think you'll do better anyway; law school grades are unpredictable.

I would visit both schools and see which is a better fit. I think they're about equal in terms of NYC prospects (not great from either one).

Ranking is irrelevant to their job placement. Both of these schools are bad at getting decent full time legal work for their graduates in NYC. At least at St Johns you are in the city you're targeting and can hustle like crazy networking.

Don't pay tuition to an NYC law school that isn't NYU, Columbia, or Fordham.

I'd probably go with St John's in this situation. Maybe look into bankruptcy. Also, I think their law review is pretty solid.
