All schools have more or less same Stips. Top 50%
What school gives me the best options at biglaw(obviously very small chance, I know).
Which school would you choose to attend? why?
I am open to Uconn because I did undergrad there, lived in CT for 4 yrs, liked it.
My choices have basically come down to RU, Cardozo, Uconn, Brooklyn. I'd rather not live in brooklyn though.

UConn seems like the best decision, honestly. Brooklyn is obviously out since it's down so far in the pecking order. Cardozo is still behind Fordham which is behind NYU, Columbia, and anyone from the T14 that wants to go there.
At least with UConn you have ties and you'd have a decent shot at Connecticut biglaw if you did really well, but NYC biglaw is probably out if you go this way.
Also, which Rutgers?

Newark
I am leaning towards Uconn. I am just hesitant, because it is such a regional school and I dont know yet, if i would settle in CT permanently.

Given your numbers, where's Fordham and Cornell in this equation?

This.
You shouldn't even be considering places like Brooklyn with your numbers.

With your numbers, you should not be considering any scholarships with less than a top 75% stipulation.
There is no real "option" of NYC. You either go T14 or an NYC school. There are some non-t14 out of state schools that place some students (10%+) into NYC, but you cannot count on it as an option (Vanderbilt/BU/BC/GW/Emory/Tulane/WashU/Notre Dame/etc.).

Sticker at Cornell would be a better option than any of these for NYC biglaw. Fordham with even a moderate scholarship, too.

Don't go to any of these schools (even on fully scholly).

meh.... I hear if you want to work in Philly that Temple at a full ride is a pretty decent option. I mean, Penn is still better, but...

180. You didn't get into a single T14?

For NYC, next cycle:
Cornell or
Michigan ED or UVA ED

Assuming you aren't willing to try to bump up the LSAT, go to Cornell. Seriously, I'd take Cornell at sticker over a full ride to any of those schools in a heartbeat.

Cardozo has the best shot at biglaw of those listed.
About 10-15% of Cardozo go on to Biglaw (last stats I saw were 12.5 percent)
If you really want biglaw, you're better off paying the price at a T-14, but the possibility to come out of law school with low debt is a worthwhile consideration

I am waiting on Cornell, Penn, UVA, UCLA, Fordham, BU, GULC.
I applied in mid JAN.... so it will be a couple weeks till I hear from my T14's.
I have an interview scheduled with a GULC alumni...

I haven't heard back from them. If I get into Cornell, Penn I'd go.
Not sure about GULC, even less sure about BU or Fordham

My serious suggestion: retake for 170+ and get money from a T14 (then you get the best of both things you want, less debt and access to NYC).

I don't wanna wait the yr .... but its definitely something I should consider being that I know I can get that 170+

I understand not wanting to wait a year (my first score was a 166, I retook and reapplied since I knew I could get a 170+ even though waiting a year blows). I think it's an even worse idea not to retake/reapply if you have a pretty good chance at getting a 170+.

Just a warning, Cornell takes forever. I applied late last cycle to most of the T14 and I had responses from every other school nearly a month before I heard back from them. They WL'ed me, and I don't even want to think about how long it would've taken to go through that whole process if I had actually wanted to fight my way off the waitlist.

Agreed 100%. Work really hard, do as well as you can do on a retake and apply again next year. Who knows, maybe you'll get all the way up into the mid-170's. Then a year from now you could be in at HLS thinking about how you almost settled for Cardozo.

Even at the best school on that list, Dozo, will only give you a 15% shot at NYC biglaw ITE. It's just dumb to turn down a shot at a T14 with strong biglaw placement because you don't want to wait a year.
That's even assuming you are top 50% and keep your scholarship. Anecdotally, I have heard from current students Dozo section-stacks (puts scholarship winners in the same section so a certain number of them will lose their scholarships) but you should probably ask some Dozo students in one of the Ask a Student threads because my information only comes from two people. It might not be true, but it's definitely something you want to find out before you make a decision. IMO section-stacking is the worst of the tricks law schools pull and any school that does it needs to be avoided like the plague.
What was your worst section on the LSAT?

LR I was near perfect, LG and RC I could prob. improve some

LG is incredibly easy to learn, easy to practice, easy to improve.
RC is a biatch.
Wait a year, study LG, retake in June, apply in September/October. Get into T14 with $$$.
