Top Law Schools

At this point in my cycle I've been accepted to Wayne State (full tuition), Michigan State (75% tuition), IU-B ($10,000/year), Ohio State ($10,000/year), Iowa, and UC Hastings, while being waitlisted at Fordham and UIUC. Fordham is my top choice, but I'm not banking on getting in off the waitlist. I have been considering retaking the LSAT and reapplying next fall. I was PTing in the 167-169 range and ended up scoring a disappointing 164 on test day. I'm just not sure how much I could realistically improve. I would like to go into corporate law, specifically private equity, and I don't have a major preference in terms of where I want to live after law school (Boston, NYC, DC, SF, etc.).

Would it be worth it to find a job and study like crazy for the June/October test?

It is always worth re-taking. I say this as a three-taker who moved from T30 numbers to T10 numbers.

Sure if you feel confident that you will add several points. Your actual test results, however, are in line with your practice tests.

Do it. None of the schools you got into are worth going unless you have a clearly defined achievable goal for attending. You do not (and you sound like you want big law), so you need to retake.

You listed all major US cities. The only schools that will get you there are Hastings, UIUC, and Fordham out of the ones your listed. I say retake. Good luck.
