youre making a mistake either way, but because youre going to ignore any advice to not go to law school, take kansas because of less debt. neither school is worth going to

Dunno why people always insist on telling people not to go to law school/harassing them about their supposed ignorance about law school, clearly you've done your research. Personally I would go to KU probably, just because it's better to be without ties if you have less debt. Or at least I feel like it is, especially since you have a family. Good luck with SMU and U of H! I'm surprised U of H is taking so long this year.apeopleshistory wrote:UT & U of H & SMU. Ding at UT, waiting on U of H and SMU. Either would be at sticker, U of H is incredibly stingy with $ and I don't have the magic 165 for money at SMU. OU had 59% of grads working at 9 months, so no on the OK schools.CanadianWolf wrote:Did you apply to Oklahoma since you have ties there ? Any Texas schools ?

Just curious, with KU did you get an instate tuition waiver? Or are you implying you will gain residency after 1L (which from what I understand is difficult to do)?

LST is down, so I don't have any numbers to compare, but according to the pre-crash TLS profiles, Iowa's job prospects were much better than KU's. The class of 2007 median was only $65k at KU, I can't imagine what it is now. It seems like Iowa will give you a decent shot at multiple midwest mid-size markets, whereas KU will not be portable outside of Kansas. Even with the big money difference, I think I'd go with Iowa.
