Top Law Schools

Does anyone have any data on this, or know where I could find it? I would like to know, for each school I'm considering, where firms that participate in their OCI come from. A decent proxy for this would seem to be the placement by region statistics, but that is only a proxy at best and I'm looking for cities, not regions.

In the NALP directory, you can search for all firms/offices that interview at X school.

Yep. The NALP directory is super useful (with a grain of salt for how accurately each firm filled out their NALP survey for the year). You can find out about starting salary, an office's practice areas, how many 1L/2Ls they hired last year/are planning to hire this year, billable hour requirements, and a fair amount more.

Just be warned, this isn't always accurate. There are firms that list Michigan that haven't been here in a few years. Most firms also list if they do a resume collect at the school.
