Fordham $$$

Post by bos2clt » Mon Aug 29, 2011 1:23 pm

In reviewing LSN, it seems that Fordham seldomly gives out more than $30k over 3 years. There are a few outliers there who seem to have received $90k+. Does anyone know what it takes to receive half scholarship or more? Is this a wait and negotiate type deal, or are they known to pay for LSAT or GPA? Thanks in advance.

They commonly give out a 15k/yr also and I know there are some who got 20k/yr. Its entirely based on LSAT and GPA and to get more than 10-15k per year you will need to have MVP ish numbers if not better. Fordham does not have a huge endowment and the law school revenues support a lot of other graduate programs at the school. Thus, Fordham does not give out the huge scholarships you see at a lot of other schools.

I think it's completely possible to negotiate with Fordham. I started with an offer for 15/year and ended with one for 30/year. #s over median, but not by much.
