This will probably be a worst case scenario safety school but what do people think/know about Uconn school of law (specifically employment prospects) other than what's on the TLS profile. Is it true that you can practice in connecticut during your 3L?

UCONN is fine if you are okay ruling out working in a firm with more than 50 people or any fortune 500 companies. You are going to be in a good market for small firms and government work, but you have almost no chance at biglaw or bigcorp.

And for those very reasons, it will be shunned by most of TLS. Its a good law school that will place you into a respectable career. You won't have the prestige or the $160,000 salary, nor will you have the corresponding stress. I would recommend it if that lines up with your life goals.

I'm really shooting for GW, BC, BU, Fordham but Uconn and PSU would be my two safety schools. I'll be engaged right before I start LS so I understand that during LS it will be tough to spend time together but I don't want to spend the next few years out of LS also not seeing her so BigLaw probably isn't for me.

I go to UConn. I'd be happy to answer a question but I'm not sure what you're asking.

Or you may have the corresponding level of stress for less money.
