So is the deal with KU that if you don't make top third, you get nothing? Tread carefully...

Yes, and I know it's risky.

I'd definitely prefer to stay in the midwest.

I think you're absolutely right, but I'm trying to determine how much the top 50% stip and hypothetical $20,000 less in tuition should weigh in. I sent an e-mail to my contact so maybe they can work something out to make this an easier decision.
I couldn't find out how to write "thank you" in Croatian.

It's also Russian.
The stips and tuition difference won't matter when you have no job. Especially if you practice in Kansas, you're going to want that alumni network.
Actually, TCR would be to retake and reapply, but whatever.

I wouldn't count on top half at one school being easier than top third at another. It depends on a number of factors.
Since you would prefer Kansas, I'd just stick with that. Icing on the cake if they give you more money, but doubtful at this stage.

WTF, go to Temple. If you aren't in the top half after 1L, you probably won't get a job anyway, so you can drop out. Of course, this is only if you are ok with Philly.

Temple is the 2nd best place to get a job in Philly. The Philly legal market is small, but there's really not much outside competition at all, and the majority of Penn students run to other markets. As for the money... entirely dependent on whether you think you can swing top half.

I would go Temple unless you really really really wanted to stay in Kansas.
Obviously I am biased though, since I would never willingly choose to live in Kansas.
So, you know, YMMV.
