Hi, all?

I pretty much decided to go to CWRU for sure.

But JMLS sent me a letter with $10,000/year with maintaining within 1/3 of the class.

SInce I will focus on IP area, so JMLS is not bad school at all.

But in terms of the overall ranking, CWRU is a lot better than JMLS.......

I am curious which school is better for me.

Please give me some advice.

Thank you in advance.

No debt FTW.

You can still work at Jones Day if you kill it at JM.

Also, it won't be hard to do that, considering the competition.

Hope you're sarcastic.

OP is talking about John Marshall in Chicago, not Cleveland-Marshall. I would say neither; CWRU @ sticker is not a good idea, and JM @ any price is a bad investment, considering it's bottom of the barrel in Chicago. OP, what about Chicago-Kent?

Credited. I don't think I'd pay 42k for my own school, honestly, even though I like it.

John Marshall is not a great alternative; forget about it.

If you're most people and think you're going to get a job during school/through alumni, you should probably retake/reapply. When I did this, I ended up going to Case mostly because I thought paying sticker/close to it for the 35-20 range was stupid and I didn't get into T20/T14. In your situation I probably would have given up because I hate debt with a burning passion, but if you're really determined to do this, you owe it to yourself to at least expand your options if possible.

Case is a decent school though way too expensive at sticker. But I really like Cleveland and there seems to be work in Northern Ohio for Case grads. Good luck whatever yuou decide to do!

You're the first person I've ever heard say they like Cleveland.

Overheard at the bar two weeks ago:

"I'm starting at John Marshall in the fall. I don't want to be a lawyer though - I'm going into real estate. I just want the education."

EDIT: Cleveland rocks.

Personally, I love Cleveland. Low cost of living, the traffic is not bad compared to big cities, great sports scene (even if our teams are perennial losers), great arts and entertainment (I've been to some of the best art museums in the world, and I still love Cleveland's art museum), plus, University Circle in general is a great place to live and go to school.
