Tulane (10k) vs UC Davis (Sticker)

Here's the deal:

I've paid the final deposit at Tulane, but I'm also sitting on the waitlist at UC Davis. They are notoriously slow and could keep me waiting until early August. If accepted off the waitlist, should I take Davis over Tulane?

I'm worried about taking on a significantly higher debt load from Davis (not a CA resident), in a state with a high cost of living.

Is Davis worth it?

I don't think you will find anyone around here who will advocate UC Davis at sticker. Go to Tulane.

Thanks for the response. Any specific reasons for this?

Job prospects don't warrant that much debt.

Where are you from and where do you want to practice? These schools are in very different locations. If you have your heart set on CA I would say Davis. If you don't mind being in Louisiana then go with Tulane as it will end up being cheaper.

I'm from Texas, but wouldn't mind practicing in either area. My biggest concerns are in the regional job markets and paying back a ton of student loans. With Cali's high cost of living, this concerns me.

New Orleans is also a lot more interesting than Davis.
