I want to have a shot at big law and potentially business/consulting down the road, but do not want to do public interest. If Cardozo is a "rising star" school, does this mean that I will have a shot at big law if I go there? I really don't want debt...

On what earth is Cardozo a rising star? Attending Cardozo essentially forecloses biglaw as an option. Fordham presents slightly better odds (1/3 of class). Pick your poison.

"No New York Law Schools Directory can ignore the rising star that Yeshiva (Cardozo) has become since its recent formation barely twenty seven years ago. Becoming increasingly competitive to attend, with students having a median LSAT of a 162 and a GPA of over 3.50"

A good rule of thumb is never to give too much respect to the number four or five school in any locality. It usually means there is a teeming number of students ahead of you in the jobs line.

Cardozo. If you aren't top 1/3 at Fordham, the debt will be crushing.
