just finished my undergrad at umiami, and no, not necessary at all but as said above it helps. Dont let not knowing spanish affect your decision to go down there though,

Yes. For bigger firms, it may not matter as much (though I did see one at a job fair that wanted Spanish speakers), but for small firms, it may matter a lot, depending on practice area.
