Please Help. I am out of time and need some opinions.

I want to attend the school that will open the most doors and allow me a good shot at DC or the Mid Atlantic in general. However, I love Charlotte as well and would prefer to live there over Richmond. I currently have Wake Forest which would allow me to occur no debt or William and Mary which would cost me $27K in debt after the use of some saved up money.

With that being said Wake Forest with no debt and some money in my pocket or W&M with 27K in debt and no money left in pocket.

Noticed a poll on here that is similar. Only difference is that I have already put down seat deposits at both but need to start locking in an apartment!

So W&M would be 27k total, after all three years?

W&M would cost me $19500 per year while Wake would cost $8700 after the scholarship they gave me.

I have enough in saving to cover $40K in tuition so Wake would be free and I would have 10K in the bank and family will pay for my CoL. W&M would still leave me with around $10,000 a year to pay in tuition so I would be around 20-25K in debt after graduation with no savings, also, parents will pay for CoL at W&M.

In the post subject "Anyone know the answer to this?" in the Law School Admissions Forum you claim that:
I am currently top quarter at W&M. Does anyone know if that will land me BigLaw in DC? or what % I might need to get it?
Could please explain how you can be a "currently top quarter at W&M" and yet still be deciding between Wake and W&M?

I was just asking some random questions. Trying to get a feel of the market at W&M and what it would take to get my desired goal.

I have heard you need at least top 10% at W&M to get an interview, prob top 5% for a realistic shot at DC Biglaw. Top half could probably get you some good mid-size firms or gov't positions.

Btw, W&M is in Williamsburg, not Richmond. If you're set on DC, I'd say W&M... if you'd settle for the south, I'd say Wake.

Basically I was just messing around. I was a bit unaware that things here where that serious in nature.

Go to the school that allows you to graduate with no student loans and some money in the bank.

I think W&M puts you at a real advantage for D.C. employment. Plus, (if you're interested in BigLaw) go onto the NALP and check out the number of large (300+) firms that visit W&M and Wake during OCI...W&M definitely wins!

Since you like Charlotte and are not dead-set on DC, my vote goes to Wake.
