need to make a decision before sending out deposits by next friday. please help!

don't have any preference for location, but i would like to work at a major city (NYC, LA, Chicago, SF, DC) after I graduate. i want to work for a big law firm afterwards.

I don't know about LA, but I think NW is slightly better than Duke in NYC, Chicago and DC.

At same price and with some desire to work in Chicago, I would take Northwestern.

If you are really focused on NYC and Duke is cheaper (bc of lower COL and lower tuition), then I would say Duke.

The schools have similar placement in NYC. Duke has zero placement in Chicago without ties. They are about equal in the other markets.

I'd say Duke is a bit stronger in NYC, but getting a job in NYC might be easier a NU b/c a lot fewer people there want it (like maybe only half want Chicago). Both suck equally for DC.
