Top Law Schools

So I'm in at MSU with decent enough money, though I'm likely passing as I'm also in at American (put down a deposit at both).

So I was looking ad the NALP directory and noticed the following biglaw firms doing OCIs at MSU:

K&L Gates (LA office)
Mayer Brown (Palo Alto office)
Perkins Coie (Bellvue, Seattle, and Washington DC offices)
Pillsbury Winthrop (Palo Alto)

Now, these firms otherwise seemingly only recruit at actually respectable law schools. So why are they at MSU? Location leads me to assume it is IP-related, but is MSU's IP specialization really that good?

I'm a big fan of MSU Law, but its not an ideal institution to attend if you're looking for big law. Those firms may show up, but it doesn't necessarily mean they hire anyone.
