Yeah, I think it's pretty well-established that West LA is a very dull place.

"On weekends, we sit on a hill and watch the cows graze. Heck, just last weekend Bessie and Theodore (we also name the cows) got into quite a tussle over this one patch of grass! There was a-hootin' and a-hollerin' until ol' Bess finally had enough and stormed (trotted) off. We been laughin' about that little episode all week!"

Don't forget setting couches on fire throughout Gayley and Landfair after any time UCLA beats USC in football. Bad news for the OP is that this rarely ever happens anymore.

1. I'm a 1L at UCLA.

2. I have no idea why I'm on TLS right now...

3. To answer your question, the majority of us go to bar reviews, etc. It's fun to "tour" LA - hanging out in Santa Monica one night, and then dancing your ass off in Hollywood the next week. I have a "Den Pass", which gives me access to all of the UCLA sports events. I never used it - not once. (And I am a sports fan). The truth is, we have no time to go to the Rose Bowl, which is in Pasadena, and, we have little time to stand around waiting for access to a basketball game. (Those are the only sports that matter per this discussion, right?) In the end, we're in LA. We have the best weather ever. It's "fun" enough to just sit outside at a cafe drinking coffee (or whatever floats your boat). I'm from CA, and even so, I still find myself thinking, "Holy fuck. I'm glad I didn't go to Cornell!"
