UT Austin vs. Emory vs. Reapply?

Hey guys:

I can't decide what to do!

Accepted
UT Austin
Emory $ ($67.5 over six semesters)
Michigan State $$$ Full Ride

Waitlisted
UMich

I have a 3.8 GPA/165 LSAT; I applied early in the cycle but I'm feeling like I didn't make the best selections as far as picking schools. I wonder if I should wait one more year and apply elsewhere next fall? Would waiting ever hurt your chances?

It seems like most people think that State's a bad idea even though it's free, but its proximity and the promise of no debt is a little bit tempting.

Depends on what you want to do, as far as school selection even with a 3.8 UT is a great get with a 165, were you practice testing higher or could study more? If so I would retake/reapply

TOugh to give you advice sans context

Besting your LSAT is no sure thing. Congrats on solid numbers and a T-14 acceptance.

Go to law school now.

I live in Austin at the moment and it really is a nice town. My roommate goes to UT Law and loves it.

There is my advice. Good luck.

Emory seems to get a lot of bad press lately, and I tend to believe most of it. Seems jobs are pretty scarce from Emory cause they didn't network with small firms, for what it's worth.

What make you think that you can increase your LSAT? Have you consider taking the June LSAT?
