Difficult choice: Loyola Marymount ($70k) vs. UCDavis stickr

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if any of you have thoughts on this matter. My top choice was UCLA, which waitlisted me. My second choice was USC, which is still reviewing my application. If either of those schools accept me I will go in a heartbeat. I always knew Davis would accept me, and I'm encouraged by their rise in the rankings over the past few years.

My attitude has always been to go to the best school that accepts me and, at least as far as the rankings go, Davis seems to be light years ahead of Loyola. On the other hand, going to Davis would mean 51k per year PLUS living expenses, whereas Loyola is offering me enough money to assure I am going to be less than 100k in debt by the time I graduate.

I am entertaining thoughts of transferring to UCLA after my first year, and that would mean Davis is the better choice... but I don't want to live in Davis California at all! Help!

But LLS has stipulations on their scholarships, which is BS. Can't you retake and try next year? i don't think either of those options sound that good.

You don't share enough information to define which is the "best" law school for you. If you define best, then your choice should be easy.

Don't plan on transferring. You'll only be in a position to transfer to UCLA from either school if your like Top 5% which is unlikely to happen. I would gamble on Loyola money with the stip. if your not top 1/3rd from loyola your gonna be screwed OCI wise anyways; if you lose the scholly you can consider dropping.
