Top Law Schools

I am wondering if there are any HLS students out there who chose Harvard over Yale. If so, I would really love to hear how you made your choice.

damn, that girl on your other thread was ridiculously harsh. not sure what her problem is, but i'm with you, i'd like to hear it if anyone out there made this choice. not that i'm in to yale haha, but it ain't over til it's over!

Honey, if you think "Please do not open the same thread in different forums" is harsh, then you need some thicker skin.

I chose HLS over YLS (entering class for this fall). Several reasons: Boston vs. New Haven, not interested in academia, HLS has stronger program in what I want to study, stronger MBA program (thinking about the joint JD/MBA), etc.

I can definitely see why majority of cross admits would choose YLS over HLS (slightly better job prospects + less 1L stress), but it just wasn't for me. I want to add that TLS is overly harsh on HLS. I talked with dozens of current students and alumni (practicing lawyers and professors) from both schools and other schools, and their opinions were roughly 50:50. Upon hearing that I am interested in MBA, almost all recommended HLS.
