Top Law Schools

So, here are my options.

Maryland OOS with some money or Temple in-state with no money, both ending up being right around the same cost in the end (around 20k a year). Also, Syracuse and Drexel both offered me full scholarships, but should I even bother with them? I'm retaking the LSAT in June, and if it works out well then I'll take a year off and reapply. But if not, then these are my options.

I'm from Philly, and I'd like to stay around Philly but I don't necessarily want to be married to Philly. Maryland is enticing, but I don't want to be stuck in Baltimore my whole life. I'd like mobility, and I know these schools don't quite offer that, but which is the best option for me?

Also something to think about is that I'm interested in a JD/MBA, though I know the saying goes that the law school is more important than the business school in situations like these.

don't do drexel. i don't know much about the opportunities at cuse, and temple v umd is a toss-up. good luck.

Temple I think...I think you should pick one between Philly and Baltimore though. Just seemed like you prefer Philly from your post.

Maryland for sure. Theres virtually no competition in Baltimore or in the state of Maryland for jobs (including those in Bethseda and right outside DC) and it gives you reach to DC. Temple locks you into Philly as does Drexel.

Syracuse is way too cold to spend three years there.

But he doesn't want to end up in Baltimore and UMD doesn't convince me of their prospects of D.C.. I think he's screaming Temple.

Looks like Temple to me. And the douchy/overrated/can't hit a shot with the game on the line Lebron said, "What should I do?" not "What do I do?".

any other thoughts? it doesn't seem like we've come to a consensus here..

would it make a difference if i said my dad owns a law firm in philly? would this perhaps give me more leeway to spending the next 3 years in maryland, thus allowing me to come back to philly in the end?
