Law school is a waste of time if you want to be a sports agent. Work your ass to get a mail room job at one of the big firms and work your way up.

Rosenhaus was asking the same question in this forum a decade ago. Kudos.

If you want to be an agent representing NFL players, instead of second-string Canadian footballers, get a JD/MBA from someplace like UPenn/Wharton, Stanford, or Columbia. Then work your way up from the mailroom.

true, but unless your LSAT and GPA are really high, the class will probably be full soon.

i agree, hopefully i can get a good LSAT Score and with a little bit of luck ill get in. However, does anyone else have input about Florida State, Florida University and Tulane?, those are my other options along with various NY schools, however i really want to go out of state and go to a school with a highly regarded Football Program and strong Alumni connections.

PeterD
start doing school research now while you are studying for hte LSAT. Once you decide to go to law school, devote your time to the LSAT. it is the most important test in the process. Then when you get your score back- see how it falls in your school lists 25 and 75%s. If it falls towards the higher end ( or above the 75%) then apply. If not, then re evaluate, re assess, and try again. You do not want to rush this ( which you will be doing if you apply for this fall). Its too important. Use the search function on here for lsat prep advice ( many people prep 3-6 months for the test). best of luck

First part is figuring out that Miami University is a tiny school in Southwest Ohio without a law school, known for little but its hockey team and its undergrad business school.

The University of Miami on the other hand, might be an okay choice if you start studying for the LSAT and apply next cycle.

Not being a stickler, just figured I'd let you know before you start writing essays to University of Miami's adcomm about why you really want to go to Miami University's law school.

Study the LSAT. Wait a year. Apply to better schools. Profit.

i understand the wait and study process.. ive been studying though, and i want to take the LSAT just to gauge where im at and see if maybe i can get into some law schools. the longer i wait i feel the harder its going to be to get back in school mode.

then take it in june. Dont rush the application process. If you score well enough in june to be accepted in the fall, then chances are you will be accepted with that score in the fall, and have a decent shot at getting a scholarship. Dont think of it as wastingtime, think of it as investing in your future. By doing well on this, and waiting a few more months, you can be saving ( and earning) yourself a lot more money.

Also the birthplace of Beta, Phi Delt, and Sigma Chi (Miami Triad). And one of the greatest Greek traditions outside of the SEC. And Ben Rothlisberger.

Worry about getting the best possible score you can on the LSAT first. Also with a good score I would still wait until next cycle because even if you offered admission, you will probably not have the possiblity of getting any scholly money. Going to Miami at sticker is not a good idea by any means.
