Choosing East Coast School

I am still waiting to hear from a few schools, but I have to accept/decline some scholarship offers by April 1st, so I was hoping to see what TLSers thought about my options.

I have ties to GA, NC, and VA. I don't have a strong preference for where I work, but D.C. and Atlanta would be my top choices. I have 4+ years of WE after undergrad. The $ figures are total cost of tuition (three years) after scholarship but do not include CoL.

W&M (51k)
W&L (87k)
Wake (52.5k)
UGA (33k)
Tulane (66k)

WUSTL (Probably sticker, if accepted)
BU (Probably sticker, if accepted)
Emory (???, if accepted)

*edit for spelling*

Dont really have any advice for you, but FWIW, I go WL at W&M and got money from Emory. I did apply real late to W&M though, but still. Stats?

UGA or Emory if they give you some insane scholly---

BUT UGA is general---while certainly region, I do know of people at the top of their class getting to DC, which is probably the same as all you other choices

I would definitely take W&L off that list. Maybe Wake too, unless you really like them.

I think UGA Is the clear choice though.

I'm visiting UGA and W&M soon. Leaning towards one of those two. Obviously cost is important but I have some savings from my 4 years of working so I'm looking at 20-30k debt coming out of these schools. I don't know if that changes the calculus.

Any advice on what to do if I get into WUSTL or BU at sticker or with very small $?

as for UGA vs. W&M:

if you are at the very top of either of those schools, you have a shot at DC (maybe slightly more so at W&M). if you're not at the top, you're looking much better at UGA, since you're happy working in ATL and have ties there. i feel like median at W&M would be really uphill.

Don't go.

All of these schools are going to make it nigh impossible to get DC out of. So you should focus on Atlanta. The best shots at getting you Atlanta are UGA and Emory. Emory is simply not worth paying 120k when you could pay 33k at UGA.
