Do to Texas veteran benefits, I can go to University of Texas School of Law for free. This would give me a much quicker ROI. Would the long-run ROI be better at a higher ranked institution, or would I do just as well (or better) at Texas? Thanks in advance.

What higher ranked school? Did the higher ranked school offer you any money? Where would you like to practice when you graduate? What sorts of goals do you have? Without any context, its impossible to answer your question

If you want to work in Texas, free UTA >lower T-14 (Georgetown, Cornell, Northwestern, Duke). If I were dead set on working in Texas then it would take HYSCCN to turn a full scholarship down.
The gap between UTA and other Texas schools is fairly large. Not many HYS students want to work in Texas meaning UTA grads have some great employment options in their home market, especially compared to peer schools like UCLA (competitive LA market) and Vandie (is there any law to be had in the middle of nowhere?)

Thanks, I was looking at UT vs. the lower T-14 schools(GT, NW, UVa, etc.).

This when considering the options. It would take a top5 for me to turn down texas full ride, assuming I didn't mind living in texas.

Yeah, unless you want to leave the south, which you could probably still do from Texas

Unless HYS are in the picture.

Texas. Debt is a bitch, especially in these times.

Sneaky Texas trolling.

Texas is t-14. I'd take Texas for free over sticker to anything but HYS personally....maybe Columbia, but probably not. It's better, but UT is no slouch in its own merit, and I say that as someone who got dinged at UT, but might get into Columbia.

I'd take a free ride at Texas over sticker at a real T14 any day.

No, just HYS (maybe Columbia)
HYSCCN was a necessary condition, not a sufficient one

Are we talking fully free education? Or just full tuition? I am struggling with 90% of tuition scholarship at a lower T14 vs. CCN sticker...everyone is going to tell you to avoid debt - and they are probably right but only go to Texas if it fits your goals and you think you will be (relatively) happy there.
That said, if its really no debt whatsoever at Texas vs. sticker at lower T14 and you like Texas this is seems like an easy call...

Early vs. late. Different opinions on overcoming a disability (one seems to favor it; one seems to consider it a weakness). Different opinions on disciplinary action from the past influencing someone's character today.

From my understanding this is Texas full ride vs. lower T14 sticker as the money the OP is getting isn't from merit scholarships, but a Texas GI benefit.
If OP wants to work in Texas, I agree this is a no-brainer

I'm in the exact same situation with Texas possibly being totally free (including COL) due to military + scholly. So far I have only received 54k from Duke and 60k from Penn. Penn was my 1st choice, but it's hard to justify graduating with 85k in debt from Penn vs. Texas with zero debt. OP did u get into either UVA or Michigan? U could go tuition-free at those if u have 100% post 9-11.

I will be using up my GI Bill in undergrad. I know the yellow-ribbon program at UVA would pay for school, but does that still count after I've exhausted the post 9/11 GI Bill?
