For No. VA/DC area....which one?

Ok, I've put this out there before, but now I have all my scholarship info so this is it....
Richmond--20k/yr no stips
Wake--20k/yr, top 2/3, keep 1/2 if fall below top 2/3
FSU--10k/yr (can get in-state after 1L), no stips
Which school is the best choice for getting a job in No. VA/DC? I know they are not the BEST options for that geographic region but these are the only options I have...

I don't think NLJ 250 firms from No. VA/DC go to either school for OCI... except that Venable likes Richmond for some reason. They go to OCI and have taken a handful of Richmond grads in recent years.
So if you want to work for a NLJ firm in metro DC right out of school, probably neither, with Richmond being a slightly better "neither." What else are you interested in doing?

I would still say Wake, but it's not a great shot. I'm saying Wake mostly because I think it's placement overall > Richmond's (and I would guess its DC placement is equal or better), and I would also guess Wake places more people in DC than FSU.
I think it'd be tricky but possible (good grades, semester in DC, focused job searches) to get a job in NOVA/DC from Wake. I think it'd be a bit trickier from Richmond.

I agree with this. I also think that if you strike out at OCI, you'll have more success with resume drops if you're at Wake than if you're at Richmond.

Resume drops in DC, or in the Carolinas? I can't imagine a candidate striking out at OCI with Raleigh and Charlotte firms, but having the ammo to land a DC job through a resume drop or mass mailing....

Thank you for all the input
I am not actually interested in a firm job, necessarily. I am more focused on a gov't job or something environmental. I guess I just wanted some reassurance that Richmond, being a VA school, is not a better choice than Wake. I know FSU is really a non-issue...I just truly liked that school :-/

I was talking about DC. I didn't say getting a DC job from a resume drop was likely, just that I would bet that a student from Wake gets a callback before a student from Richmond does. Obviously neither are ideal for DC.

What about doing FSU -> Tally gov't -> DC?
I have considered this, but I have a spouse to worry about in terms of career also...meh...probably going to Wake...not that I don't like Wake, but it is the best school I got in to and isn't that the general TLS sentiment? Plus, you never know what can happen in 3 years and I may need to stay in NC for family reasons and Wake will be best bet.
