Law school admissions breed an obsession on rankings and selectivity. If one carries that focus over to bidding on firms at OCI, a lot of absurdities result. The better approach with firms, unlike law schools, is to define what qualities you desire most, and to find out which firms offer those. Depending on your priorities and your desired practice group, the vault rankings might matter a lot, a little, or not at all.
