NYU (sticker) vs. GWU ($105K)

Is a top ten school worth the sticker price versus a top 20 with $$$? Everyone says go where the $ is, but NYU is my dream school.

Anyone else taking the burden on?

Is Cornell's Dean a fullride? If so I take Cornell easily.

To the OP, depends on what you want to do, but if you want biglaw I would take NYU in your case.

Not taking a burden on but I would go NYU if I had the option, lucky enough with my numbers to be offered the 105k as well so not complaining. Question, did yours come with any stips?

Cornell's dean is all but like $3000/year. It's $45,000 assuming I remain in good academic standing. i appreciate the input though. any thoughts on that versus $75,000 to UChicago? Not to take advantage but the people in my personal life suck at giving advice and are just so "supportive" of whatever I decide. All help is welcome

Where were you offered $105K? No, no stips.

And doesn't cover housing/fees right? I'd go with Chicago. An extra 60 or 70k in debt for significantly better employment prospects is worth it in my book.

I will likely be going to GW with the 106k scholarship, and am very very very happy to be able to do so. If I had the chance, I'd take NYU sticker over GW 106k without blinking an eye. GW is great, but a t6 opens up doors that you can't get at a t20.

Sorry! Yes Cornell's doesn't cover housing or anything like that. THe debt difference would essentially be right around $60K. I really appreciate your help!

+1. Chicago definitely.

and to OP. Take NYU. it's your dream school, and even with that scholly at GW, you're still going to come out with quite a bit of debt.
