BC v. St John's $ v. BLS $

So here is my situation:
Accepted to BC (no money so far, none expected), $29,000/year to Brooklyn Law School, full scholarship to St. John's.
I did my undergrad at BC and am from NY and I'd be willing to practice in either state. What are your thoughts? Do the better job possibilities from BC counteract the money from the other two? Any comments would be much appreciated

Heavily depends on what you want to do. Brooklyn is out of this dicussion honestly. If you have housing free in NY (since you said you're from there) and want to do smalllaw or PI or something like that St.John's may not be a bad option. For anything else you have to go to BC at sticker.

Yeah...no. BC's not a great option at sticker, but it's far and away better than SJU no matter what. Things should be better for 2014 too.

Better for 2014. Maybe. Maybe not. OCI for c/o 2014 is in 1.5 yrs. BC gives you a 1/3 chance for biglaw to pay off your $180k debt. Like them odds?

BC for biglaw. Otherwise, take whatever is cheaper.

St. Johns is the responsible choice, assuming not stipulations.
Of course, this is TLS.com and 0L's are irresponsible. If the statement "0L's are irresponsible" is indeed true, enjoy BC.

35% shot at biglaw vs. almost no shot at biglaw. Your choice.

When did OP say that biglaw was his goal?

The SJU scholarship probably has that nasty top 40% stipulation which is a time bomb waiting to go off in your face. So it's between BLS and BC. Personally I don't think the increased chance at Biglaw that BC gives you is worth $87,000 cash in your pocket (and you did not say Biglaw is your goal in any event), but it's a close one. It depends on how debt-averse you are and how you like the feel of the two schools upon visiting.

The BLS scholarship probably has harsh stips as well
