ITT: Delusional 0L asks for advice about both LLMs and International Law. GL OP!

ETA: go to the school in the region you want to end up practicing in. If there are no options in that region, retake, reapply, ???, profit.

Davis hands down, assuming you're okay with NorCal/Bay Area.

The other state schools aren't going to come close to guaranteeing Chicago for you and WUSTL at sticker is just awful.

Yes, they are 5th, but the top 4 are all in the top 20. Talk to SBL for job prospects, I think.

IMO your prospects in Cali from Davis are >> than your prospects in Chicago from those schools. If you wanted Madison, that's a different story.

Davis is roughly the 5th best school in CA (behind Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, USC) and it is tied with Hastings. Stanford and possibly even Berkeley grads scatter a bit whereas UCLA and definitely USC are more concentrated in SoCal.

Did you apply to any of the other chicago area schools, ND or Illinois might give you some money and would be a better option for Chicago than Iowa, Wisc. and IU-B and would probably give you some money as compared to WUSTL (and arguably still a better shot at Chicago) depending upon your numbers.

On a side note if you were able to get 3/4 from Davis, you probably stand at least a shot to get into USC for california and maybe UCLA, or Berkely if you're a reverse splitter with at lease a 167 LSAT

OP: Are your numbers still 157 LSAT & 3.6 GPA non-URM ? If so, you have done quite well !

P.S. If you want California, then UC-Davis makes the most sense.

However, I did not ask them to wait and that is why UIUC rejected me at the beginning of the cycle.
For CA schools, I only applied to Berkeley and Davis. CA is just one of my choice. I also want Chicago.
