Should i go to UNLV Forum

I was wondering if anyone has some insight into UNLV. I am not too biased about living in NV for the rest of my life as I enjoy the Southwest. I have been offered admission with a good scholly and I am wondering if anyone can help me decide. I'd prefer to live in AZ or NV and I am currently waiting to hear back from ASU so until then I would like to learn as much about UNLV as I possibly can just in the case that I may choose to attend there. Is there anything about the school that I should focus on?

Only go to UNLV if you are sure you want to work in Nevada.

Look, you have a 3.7 GPA. Retake, seriously. If you can bump up that 159 by even a few points, to like 162-165, it will make a serious difference in scholly, and allow you to look at more options. That said, bail on UNLV and target ASU and UA. My negligible understanding is that Nevada is in worse shape than Arizona, and the legal market is at least marginally larger in Arizona.

How much scholarship money have you been offered by UNLV ?

They stipulate top 1/3 of class for most schollys, and then put all the scholly kids together in one section. Since there's a mandatory curve, a lot of people lose those scholarships after first year. That and nevada's governor (R) is going at unlv funding with an ax. They lost 16% the last couple of years, and they're facing even more in the near future.

On the upside, it is the best law school in nevada (also, only one).

This response is the correct one. Retake,retake and apply elsewhere. With additional study you have a 50/50 chance of improving your score and getting in a much better school. If you have contacts with Las Vegas you can always go back but you will have addtional opportunites in better makets if you go to ASU.U of A , or even BYU.
