Really want to stay in metro Atlanta, is it better to go to GSU at in-state tuition or pay sticker at Wake?

I'd say either GSU or retake for Emory or UGA.

Are you in-state for GA State? If yes, isn't tuition like $10-11k per year? Did you get a scholarship on top of that? If yes to all of those then you should definitely go to GSU over Wake, especially if you want to stay in GA. Wake's tuition is $36k per year, so that's $108k vs. $33k.

Most recent NLJ #'s have GA State at 13% IIRC and Wake is at 15%. Wake might have better overall employment prospects, but I would tend to think it would be equal to or maybe even less respected in Georgia than GA State is.

Edit for RC Fail: You definitely said you are in-state for GSU. If you go to WFU over GSU, I will throw rotten food at you and taunt you! Definitely go to GSU

I am in-state at GSU and there are no scholarship offers from Wake yet. Cost of living will be higher in Atlanta but not enough to offset the $20K/year tuition difference. Still held for review at UGA but if they don't come through, I am leaning towards GSU.

Just received $15/year scholarship at Wake and that levels the economic playing field a good bit between GSU and Wake. Given the cost of living difference between Atlanta and Winston-Salem, the total bill over three years may only be $15K or so. Is this enough of a factor to pick WFU over GSU if I want to work in Georgia?
