Websites, Viewbooks, Etc.

Is it just me, or does 7/8 of the information on websites and in viewbooks mean nothing to 0Ls? I like "collegiate atmospheres" as much as the next guy, but I have no idea if 1st year electives are a big deal, or if I'm going to regret going to a better ranked school with a less pimped-out moot court program.
How do I filter out the information that is useful to me now, and what should I learn to translate quickly, before I end up in the wrong school?

God almighty, what does it take to get a little information on these boards? Thanks in advance!

I look at it this way. If one of your school's big drawing points is one of your graduates is a Hollywood film director, that's probably not a great sign. A certain school that enjoys bombarding people with information follows the preceeding.
Or follow the BS formula. Everything is meaningless BS until proven otherwise.
That probably in no way, shape, or form answered your question.

The challenge to answering your question is that it's impossible to decipher what you're asking.
