Not looking for biglaw. Hope to one day represnt labor unions.

Have worked off majority of undergrad debt; not trying to get crushed with LS loans, but not completly debt averse.

i think your best bet is to minimize debt and go with Catholic, are there stipulations on your scholarship?

Catholic. No reason to pay that much for any of those schools. Surprised you did not apply to Northeastern.

Retake is a good option, but out of those its between Catholic and Nova. Nova will give somewhat better job prospects, but the extra 50k isnt worth it if you're not looking for firm work so I think Catholic if retake isnt an option.

Go with the cheapest school that does not have a stipulation on its scholarship offer.

BarbellDreams I think that LSAC has hired you to go on every forum and tell people to retake. Personally I would not put it past them to hire people to do that.

I would say catholic, but that requirement is VERY restrictive. Talk about stress inducing.

Also, I think all your numbers are wrong.

AMERICAN for three years at sticker =120k So you are going to live on 25k for 3 years. 8k a year. Really? Like really?

Catholic, but drop out if you fall below 40% since you'll end up immensely in debt with few job prospects.

Not really, most of the senior posters who have gone through the process and are now in law school experiencing what the legal market is really like also advise to retake with the same consistency as I do.

Is Maryland in-state sticker or out of state sticker? If it's in-state you should negotiate with the ASAP and get your COA under $100k. Did you apply to George Mason?

If it's out of state, where is the "my state school" option?

ShowNProve is right. Seems like some of those have bad reps for section stacking.
Get rid of the stips at all costs.

Read this for someone's experience at Catholic:

is top 40% really that hard to get at a school like Catholic though? just read supplements and do old exams and you will be way ahead of the rest of the pack.

besides, there is always the option of dropping out even if one does lose their scholarship.

I would have to throw my weight behind Catholic. Maryland and American may be ranked 40 slots higher, but the difference in placement isn't significant enough to outweigh the difference in cost. Maybe you've already done so, but if you can you should take advantage of the interview process at Catholic. Worth it to see if they can remove the T40% stipulation on the full ride. I would have to agree with General Tso that T40% at Catholic shouldn't be all that hard to manage, but why worry about it if you don't have to? Best of luck.

The poster I referred to mentioned non-blind grading and section stacking.
Who knows what you get with that roll of the dice...

AMERICAN!! They have a great LRAP and as far as I know, labor union work is included. I KNOW government work is also.

EDIT-Non profit organizations is the req for WCL---they pay all IBR payments if you earn below 50k, and the help goes up to income of 75k---it really is a great program

Wow, is there an option for nowhere? None of those schools are worth that price ITE. Catholic I would say maybe IF you can get the stipulation removed.
