Do you think WUSTL will tie or pass USC this year?
I know this will not make a difference in terms of recruiting... at least in the short run.

Doubt it. WUSTL is probably the first school in which the ranking tends not to matter. The school has little more prestige or employment opps than does 20-30 (which does little better than the rest of the Tier 1, etc, etc).

^ Not sure what you are trying to say. If you mean it is probably ranked too high given its employment prospects compared to other schools in the top 30, I agree.

He's saying that 18 and up have legitimate reasons for being ranked, but 19 and below are all in a quagmire where differentiation doesn't matter.
