Top Law Schools

Received a scholarship that requires top 60% and would make tuition 3k a year and out of state fees have been waived and guaranteed to be waived even if my residency petition is denied. If I lose the scholarship tuition is 11k a year. Top 60% isn't a bad stipulation at all right? Can't assume anything grade wise but it is a pretty decent offer considering I would like to work in government.

No stipulation would be better bit it isn't like we are talking about top 15% kind of stuff.

The schools is Arkansas-Little Rock and although I am significantly above medians number wise and that means I am more likely to do well on paper, I can't assume I will rank highly, but is it unreasonable to assume that I will rank high enough to keep the scholarship?

top 60% is reasonable, it could have been a lot worse

Reasonable if you stay in the top 60%; unreasonable if you only make the top two-thirds.

Right, I am from Ohio and applied to some southern schools for cheaper tuition and more favorable residency, plus I don't care where I live. Arkansas-Fayetteville waived out of state tuition and said 3k a semester after that contingent on a top 20% rank which is ridiculous. I have a little bit of help from family so 35k or 40k in debt is quite manageable on even a private sector salary of 40k (need to get the job though).

Hell, Akron could have been near full tuition but requires top 15% which is outrageous. I think top 60% is pretty reasonable and if I were to rank below that than it is time to get out of Dodge and cut my losses.

As long as they don't put you in the same section with the other scholarship kids.
