Is UIUC splitter friendly?

The range is baffling, 3.2-3.9?

However..
http://www.top-law-schools.com/illinois ... f-law.html
says the median is 3.8.

I'm willing to bet this has been brought up before, so can anyone quickly confirm what my chances would be at admission to UIUC with a 3.3 GPA and 168 LSAT, RD, no WE, no URM? Or if they're splitter friendly in general..?

BigLaw in Chicago isn't looking so bad, it sounds like the markets have held up better than most, although, not Texas.

You've got a shot.

You might want to post this in the UIUC thread for this current cycle. Dean Dan Pless is an active participant in that thread and I am sure that is a question he can ask.

You'll have to use a stick to fend off the money they and WUSTL will throw at you. 95-98%, check LSN.

+1. I'm surprised no one commented on this sooner.

it's looking better than, well, Miami or SF biglaw....which isn't saying a lot. It's not like a major firm in the market went under, spewing out hundreds of unemployed, qualified former associates in the process (Heller).

Yeah, I hear there are a ton of jobs in D.C. too.

All I'm saying is, it could be worse.

I was a pretty big reverse splitter but was able to get in for the 2008-2009 cycle.

With a 168, UIUC will accept you with big money as long as your PS and LORs are passable.
