Top Law Schools

Im not talking about wearing skinny jeans and riding a track bike through nyc or boston. I am talking about mtn and road racing. I am not interested in any schools in ca, az, or co, so the obvious choices are out. Anyone have any suggestions?

Pepperdine, ride the beautiful pacific coast highway on a daily basis. Blue skies, smooth roads, green fields, and the Pacific ocean on your left (if your riding north)

Any city that hosts an annual IRONMAN triathlon generally has some pretty deece roads and scenery.

This is stupid. Give us a range of schools. I know IU-Bloomington is a great town for cyclists, but that won't help you if you have a 170 or 155 LSAT.

Texas? You're talking UT austin, right? I wouldn't think anywhere else in tx would be as good.
This is not stupid. Im 165/3.62. But that's not as important as getting me cat1 upgrade in the next 2 years (the road racers out there know im right).

dude, awesome. i'm a tri girl myself but i do appreciate the speedy cyclist.

edit: some schools have pretty active cycling and triathlon clubs, so you might want to check individual schools for those clubs and ask around

I have actually strongly considered WI. You don't have to be on the trainer for 5 months. Hell, there's a USGP of 'Cross stop there, Trek has a 100+ acre mtn bike park, and WI has the biggest regional mtn bike series in the world. My concern is that the population is a little too small to support a full season of road races/crits.

That's really not true. Kona hosts the Ironman world championship every year, and that would be a terrible place to be a road racer. There is a huge difference between gearing up for one big event every year, and wanting to race as much as possible.

I'm currently leaning toward something in the Chicago area. It's easy to get out of the city to train, there are a ton of events near by, the central location makes it easy to get to other regional events (USGPs in Madison and Louisville, Gateway cup in StL). Anyone in the Chicago able to tell me about the Chi Cross Cup? Field sizes, etc?

Stanford's a pretty good biking school. I regret not having one

ND. big cyclist population here. also when you are riding through some of south bend's hoods on your way to the long flat abyss of soy and corn fields of rural indiana you get 2x the workout as you are pedaling for your life from hoodrats. naw its not that bad but one of them stole my front tire today in the hour i left my bike behind my house...im out for blood.

CU - Boulder

Too obvious. Of course Boulder is essentially the cycling mecca in the US (or is that Portland?), either way, Unfortunately I really can't see myself fitting into the rest of the culture in Boulder (or Portland for that matter). Not to mention, I want to be competitive, not get shelled by a bunch of 16 year old future TdF winners (I was actually beaten in a race recently by a 15y.o. Boulder resident).

Stanford would be great for many reasons. I'm not sure if you have heard, but their admissions standards are pretty high. I might not get accepted as white male with a 165 and 2 living parents

I'm assuming you mean front wheel? Stealing just the tire would be pretty unusual. This also makes me believe we aren't talking aobut the same cycling.

Austin has horrible roads for cyclists. Although, we do have a pretty active bike community.

I heard there's sort of a famous cyclist who is from Austin...Lance something...Or was he the first man on the moon? Something like that.

Philly is a great cycling city, if you're not scared of cars. So Temple would be a good choice, where your numbers would be competitive.

actually any of the Texas schools has great cycling, when I visited Tuscaloosa, they had some decent road riding out there, too. Hawaii, but prepared to ride in a circle.
